iPad Apps For School

This site is set up to give a brief overview of educational apps. There is an alphabetical list of apps on the right side of the page. Use the labels on the right side of the page to filter for specific types of apps. The "EWSHS Availability" section of each post is a resource specifically for the teachers at my high school. Edmodo

Edmodo is a program designed to facilitate communication between teachers and their students. Teachers create classes and students enroll using a group code, preventing the teacher from having to set up a roster.

Edmodo is very well organized and allows teachers to share files and a calendar with their classes. There is also a message board where students can post ideas and respond to each other. It is secure in that the teacher can remove people from the course. Students are allowed to communicate with their teacher and post to the class page. They are not allowed to communicate with each other privately.
